2nd Place Winner of Quiz Competition for Celebrating the 60th Anniversary of Cambodia-China Diplomatic Relations



On 28 December 2018, The University of Cambodia, represented by 4-IR students, namely Miss. Sin Sina, Miss. San Kimnay, Mr. Chen Heang and Mr. Vann Bunna from College of Social Sciences won the 2nd place of quiz completion for celebrating 60th Anniversary of Cambodia-China Diplomatic Relations (1958-2018).



With the initiation of His Excellency Khieu Kanharith, Minister of Ministry of Information, under the collaboration between Cambodian National Television (TVK), and National Radio and Television Administration of China, the quiz the competition was conducted with aims to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Cambodia-China diplomatic relations and to strengthen its traditional relations of both countries at Cambodian National Television the station, Ministry of Information.

The competition was divided into two rounds. In the first round, the competition was held on 24 December 2018 with the participation of 6 universities, namely The University of Cambodia (UC), Pannasastra University of Cambodia (PUC), BELTEI International University (BIU), Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP), Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC), and Prek Leap National College of Agriculture (PNCA). As a result, UC was one among top 4 scorer universities, and the UC was scientifically and automatically selected along with PUC, BIU, and ITC to the final round.


In the final round, under the auspice of His Excellency Khieu Kanharith, Minister of Ministry of Information, quiz competition for celebrating the 60th Anniversary of Cambodia-China Diplomatic Relations was conducted on 28 December 2018. All participated universities actively and hardly tried to answer all the competed for questions. As a result, The University of Cambodia won the 2nd place while BELTIE International University won the 1st place, and Institute of Technology of Cambodia got the 3rd place.


At the end of the program, all the winners were presented a token of appreciation. Noticeably, the program was conducted smoothly in a frank and sincere atmosphere and each participant realized the important of such a completion as a platform for students and the public to be more aware of knowledge on Cambodia-China diplomatic relations.
