2nd Place Winner of Quiz Competition for Celebrating the 60th Anniversary of Cambodia-China Diplomatic Relations

On 28 December 2018, The University of Cambodia, represented by 4-IR students, namely Miss. Sin Sina, Miss. San Kimnay, Mr. Chen Heang and Mr. Vann Bunna from College of Social Sciences won the 2^nd place of quiz completion for celebrating 60^th Anniversary of Cambodia-China Diplomatic Relations (1958-2018).

In ASEAN, the Philippines is recognized as the largest sending state along with Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia, Myanmar and Vietnam; while Brunei, Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore are known as receiving states in term of migrant workers.  There were fourteen point two per cent of Filipino overseas workers were employed in ASEAN countries, mainly Singapore. Moreover; Filipino migrants face many obstacles and challenges including exploitation, discrimination, violence, trafficking in person, sexual harassment, lack of health and social protection. 

The 28th Int’l Youth Forum, what’s it about?

The International Youth Forum which is yearly hosted by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family Affairs, the Republic of Korea and organized by the National Council of Youth Organizations in Korea (NCYOK) is an international platform for gathering international youth with diverse culture from around the world to discuss together the global issues at hand, bring diverse perspective together.

This year, 2017, as the 28^th of its celebration, the 28^th International Youth Forum took place from 23^rd to 30^th of August 2017 in Seoul and Muju, the Republic of Korea. The 28^th International Youth Forum was conducted in aims to increase youth’s understanding of global issues, offering an opportunity to tackle them and to find alternative ways or solutions, to improve cooperation and enhance mutual understanding among youths across cultures and nationalities and to spread goodwill around the world and to build interactive global citizenship though  networking among youths.
